TIP:
Short Term Seed Storage- Keep seeds from heat, humidity, temperature changes and light. Use seed as normal for the next seasons planting.
Long Term Seed Storage- Store your sealed leftover seeds in a glass jar with a tight gasket lid and put in a  deep freezer OR a constant temp., cool, dark place.

I also can seal your long term seed orders. You can customize the package at checkout. See more on Mylar sealed bags here.

Proper storage in regular packaging involves keeping moisture, light, temperature changes, heat and humidity from spoiling the seeds and preserves them for up to 3-8 years with little changes to their viability/germination.

There is no need to check frozen seed until you are ready to use it. At that point, let the entire container come up to room temperature for several days in a cool area before you open it to keep condensation from forming on the seeds. Place a desiccant made if silicone gel beads, dry milk or rice,  in the bottom of the jar, for additional protection against moisture.

Rotate your seeds as often as financially possible for emergency seed storage to ensure you have the best viable seed you can have.

Happy Gardening!

NOTES FROM CUSTOMERS:

I just placed an order for a few more 75 seed packs. It is really important to me to have non GMO & non hybrid seeds. You really go all out in helping new gardeners like me. I never grew a garden before and my garden last year was out standing thanks to your awesome seeds, planting instructions and tips. I didn't know lettuce could be so good. And the blue Hubbard's are delicious and wintered well.  Thanks so much for your wonderful seeds and web site....Your WHOLE WEB SITE is awesome!  I looked at it frequently while learning. I loved the photos of the plants, that helped. I was clueless about how large the plants would grow to.  Also you have lots of info on planting, what not to plant together, sun or shade OK, soil additives, and links to other sites, like farmer almanac. I didn't save seed, but love that you explain how to save seed and how far apart plants have to be to keep the strains pure. I had no idea. You were my sole source of info, that is how complete your site is. And it's even better this year.  Thanks again.  Marcella (WA)

.....I also wanted to say that after all of the research I have put into finding  the perfect  mix of veggies to grow for my  family you have hit the nail on the head what an amazing variety! Kirk(NH)

....I appreciate your continued kindness, it is part of the reason I decided to purchase your seeds. I am also very pleased with the varieties offered, and thank you very much  for your service to others like myself, and  nature!  Ashley(CT)
